WASPA monthly report of July 2016

Hi everyone, here are the monthly standings of the WASPA circuit. It has been a very busy month with point of three more events played in June to add, 30 regional events held in July and 2 tournaments with the old rules being played in Italy.

Excel file with the rankings

We were glad to see five WASPA events being played in Enderby during the FISTF Major of England in the beginning of the month. We had many international visitors taking part so it was great. Some nations have been very active in July as we had 6 events in Australia, 6 in Belgium, 4 in Cyprus and 8 in England.

Action in Limassol, Cyprus
Greece had amazing events with 35 and 21 players taking part. SC Charleroi held their very first WASPA tournament.

Once again, thanks everyone to making things happen. Thanks to all organizers and to all players. Your input is more than welcome. If you have suggestions to improve the WASPA circuit for next season, it will be more appreciated. Our only ambitions is to have Subbuteo fans flicking and promoting the game. Thanks to everyone in the FISTF and WASPA circuits who help this game to grow!

Players in Cape Town, South Africa
Special thanks to the four nations who have already organized more than 40 tournaments this season (England, Belgium, Italy, Australia). I'm sure these nations are working in the right direction and will be a source of inspiration for the rest of the world even if many clubs around the world are also doing a great job (22 nations have already organized WASPA tournaments this season).

August will be another great month. The National in the US was played this week-end in Maryland and we also had the first event in Romania. It will be great to include Romania in the records next month. We have hopes to include some more nations in the future. The door remains open for everyone.

I would appreciate if many players could send me some feedback about what they expect from WASPA for the new season. What improvements would you like to see? Thanks in advance!

Keep an eye on the WASPA blog at http://waspa-circuit.blogspot.com as there are updates almost every day.
